Thank You!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has been praying for me recently. I have been uplifted by your prayers and I know that they have helped my healing.

As many of you know I’ve been dealing with a stomach bug for the past three weeks. I think I can confidently say that I am finally over it. The antibiotics did their work, but my stomach lining was probably injured which led to continuing GI problems.

I’m pretty fatigued physically, but I continue to be buoyed spiritually by your prayers. I cannot thank you enough.

And, on the plus side, I lost around 7 pounds!

  1. Glad Joe that you have made great progress in healing. Besure to continue to take it easy to gain your strenth back. I gather you did not want to loose 7 lbs. this way.

    Godspeed Peter

    1. Thank you Bruce. Hope you and Eleanor are well and enjoying the beauties of Maine. It’s summer becoming fall here, so I trust the winter in Maine is soon to become spring. Blessings and joy, Joe

  2. Dear Joe. Jim And I are so thankful that you are recovering and beginning to feel better. We will continue to pray as you get better with the digestive system. Can you get yogurt? You probably know that helps restore the bacteria that lives in our digestive tracts. We send our love and prayers to you and Amy . We are still here by the sea(Gulf of Mexico) and loving the peace and the sound of the waves because of the wind. There is much beauty in the wild grasses in the sand and the flowers that naturally grow in them. We have a beautiful Bald Eagle who comes daily to perch on the roof next door and soar over the water to catch a fish. Snakes and rabbits see to inhabit the grasses . The alligators are all over the place here but do not come to the beach often. We did see one years ago who came out of the Gulf and went up to the pool next door . The rescue people who came said O we know this character. He just does this every once in a while. That was years ago so we haven’t seen him since . We like that this is such a restful and peaceful place and the natural Habitat has not been disturbed. I think Of all the beauty you have shared as you are in South Africa. Much love to you and Amy , Jim And Deede .

  5. Dear Joe,

I did not know about your stomach problem. Sending prayers now. the vulnerability of physical illness. I know I rely on my body to be strong and I can’t always be the case. You certainly take care of yourself and I’m glad that the medicine is working and you’re feeling more like yourself. Sending love to you and Amy always. Jo Tetlow

  6. Joe, Especially sorry to hear of your stomach problems! Unfair to a man who loves to eat. Double bummer to be there away from our great hospitals & doctors. Sylvia & I are having an all expenses 2 week stay at Johns Hopkins for example. If yogurt doesn’t help, just come home. Prayers & love, Katie & Sylvia
